Our typical gym outfits are a little one-note. Black leggings, black tank tops and maybe a colorful sports bra to spice things up. We had no qualms about this uniform. It's comfortable and effective, if not super interesting.
That was until we saw that cool-girl activewear brand Outdoor Voices just came out with a workout dress (yes, dress). All of a sudden, our leggings seem like the most boring thing since sitting on a stationary bike for 45 minutes.
The Exercise Dress ($98) comes in three colors—navy, light pink and a navy-ish gray celestial print—and has a built-in leotard liner for coverage. It hits right at mid-thigh, making it way more breathable than our usual ankle-length leggings.
While we might not be comfortable rocking one of these babies for, say, a yoga class (downward dog in a dress—even with a liner—isn't quite our style), we would wear it for a jog, dance cardio class or, duh, tennis sesh.
