They say great minds think alike—and at the 2025 Oscars, Selena Gomez, Julianne Hough and Raye were all on the same stylish wavelength.

Hollywood’s biggest names gathered at the Dolby Theatre for the 97th Academy Awards, and as always, the red carpet was the place to spot emerging trends. While viewers were busy debating best-dressed contenders and boldest fashion risks, one beauty trend stood out: the return of the old Hollywood bob, with a modern, millennial-approved twist.

Plenty of stars embraced old Hollywood glamour, but Gomez, Hough and Raye took it a step further, proving that side parts are officially back.

Gomez, whose film Emilia Pérez racked up an impressive 13 nominations including Best Picture, stunned in a custom Ralph Lauren gown adorned with hand-embroidered details, hand-sewn Rosemont crystals and over 16,000 glass embellishments (yes, really), according to People. Her chic side-parted bob perfectly complemented the timeless look.

Julianne Hough, on the other hand, fully embodied Marilyn Monroe vibes. Her wavy blonde bob, styled in classic curls, paired effortlessly with her elegant, tan Christian Dior gown from the Spring 2025 collection.

Then there was British singer-songwriter Raye, who brought drama with a voluminous, side-parted bob that framed her face flawlessly.

For the record, side parts were a major millennial staple in the mid-to-late 2000s. So, does this mean the side part is making a full comeback? TBD.

What’s clear is that Gomez, Hough and Raye absolutely nailed the look—and we’re totally here for it.
