Low-rise jeans are a hot topic here at PureWow. Love or hate' em—Nicole Kidman is making a case for giving them a chance. On Sunday, May 18, she attended the Kering Women in Motion Talk at the 78th annual Cannes Film Festival, where the Babygirl star wore the most stylish outfit, including low-rise baggy jeans.

They were paired with a fitted Balenciaga leather jacket, which comes straight from the 2025 Ready-to-Wear collection. Accessories wise, she included a Khaite buckle belt, pointed-toe heels and a watch. The Oscar-winning actress kept the rest of her look simple with straight locks and minimal makeup.

For the 10th Women in Motion Awards, the 57-year-old swapped out her jeans for a red floral lace gown. The annual event celebrates women who've made a contribution to the film industry, and Kidman received this year's award for her outstanding acting career.
Kering shared the news on their official Instagram back in April. The caption read, "A major figure in cinema, Nicole Kidman has built a career marked as much by her artistic audacity as by her virtuosity and transformative portrayals that have reshaped the representation of women on screen."

Believe it or not, this was her first Cannes appearance in eight years, so it's no surprise that she would use the opportunity to make a statement on the red carpet—low-rise jeans and all.
