‘Firefly Lane’ Season 2 Has Begun Filming (& We Have Behind-the-Scenes Pics)

It’s been seven months since we learned that Firefly Lane had been renewed by Netflix for a second season, and it looks like production is officially underway.

Based on the 2008 novel by Kristin Hannah, the series follows the long-term friendship between unlikely BFFs Tully (Katherine Heigl) and Kate (Sarah Chalke). The actresses were recently spotted filming the second installment in Vancouver.

One fan who lives in the city even snapped a pic of the set, which was created to look like New York City (where the show takes place). Per a report, the scene was being filmed outside of the Metropolitan Hotel in downtown Vancouver on October 27 and 28.

The location doesn’t come as much of a surprise because season one was filmed in Burnaby, British Columbia.

In May, Heigl and Chalke broke the exciting renewal news in a video posted on Netflix's official account, confirming that fans can expect to see brand-new episodes in the near future. After answering a few fan questions from social media, Heigl revealed, "Everyone keeps asking, everywhere I go, 'Is there gonna be a season two?' And I'm just like, 'Guys...yes.'"

After the actresses raised their wine glasses to celebrate the news, Chalke said, "We don't have all the answers yet, but trust us, it is going to be worth the wait. And we promise, all your questions will be answered. We can't wait to continue on this journey of Tully and Kate with all of you in Firefly Lane season two.”

Unfortunately, no other plot details have been revealed yet. But we’ll be sure to keep an eye out.
