Mindy Kaling just hit another major career milestone—earning her very own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The Emmy-winning writer and producer was honored with the 2,800th star on Tuesday, February 18, celebrating her incredible contributions to television, which kicked off at just 24 years old when she joined The Office as both a writer and actress.

For the big moment, Kaling radiated Hollywood glamour in a sleek, sleeveless velvet black dress that flared into a ruched bubble skirt. But let’s talk about the real scene-stealers—her shoes. She paired the look with a stunning set of Jimmy Choo Saeda pumps, featuring a pointed toe and crystal chain embellishment around the ankle.

Lately, Kaling has been serving major fashion moments. Back in December, she wowed in a sheer dress and oversized blazer combo. And just last month, she turned heads at the 2025 Golden Globes in a strapless, floor-length shimmering gold gown by Ashi Studio (which, yes, landed her a spot on our Best Dressed list).

And soon, we’ll be seeing her on-screen again—this time in Meghan Markle’s upcoming Netflix show, With Love, Meghan. If the sneak peeks are anything to go by, Kaling looks just as stunning in a formal gown as she does in a breezy pink sundress.

She even spilled some behind-the-scenes tea about her cameo while at the Golden Globes, raving about the Duchess of Sussex’s cooking skills.

"I had had my baby and I think I was two months postpartum, and she texted me and was like, 'Do you want to be in my show?'" Kaling recalled. "And when you hang out with Meghan, you know the food is going to be good."

Kaling added, "It's just nice to have someone else be cooking for me. So I was like, 'I'll come to Montecito and have you cook for me and go to your garden.' And that's what we did."
