Grab your detective hats, fellow Arconiacs, because Only Murders in the Building season four is shaping up to be a wild one.

At this year's Writers Guild Awards, I caught up with Michael Cyril Creighton, who stars as the eccentric cat enthusiast, Howard Morris, on the Hulu series. The actor confirmed that filming for season four is currently underway and teased a few surprises, from the star-studded cast to a new, mind-boggling mystery.

In case you missed the third season finale, it ends with Sazz trying to write something on Charles’s kitchen floor just moments before her death. What she wrote has yet to be revealed, but according to Creighton, it will definitely come up in the next season.

When asked about what fans can expect, Creighton said, "We have a whole new mystery that even I don't know the ending of yet, which is exciting. We have a lot of surprises in store. There's more casting to be announced. It's just an incredible ride, and I think the mystery is really, really strong this season."

As we all know, Hulu has already confirmed that Richard Kind, Daphne Rubin-Vega, Catherine Cohen and Jin Ha will be joining season four—but it sounds like they're just a few of many famous new faces that will make cameos.

While discussing his time behind the scenes, Creighton said, "There is an incredible guest cast this season and the energy on set is vibrant and exciting. It's incredibly pleasant because the trio Steve [Martin], Martin [Short] and Selena [Gomez] have such a welcoming energy to everybody that walks on that set, be it someone who has one line or someone who has a thousand lines. They set the tone, so everybody is just really happy to be there."

He added, "We have an incredible crew and the writers are the best in the business, so we're incredibly lucky."

I'll be counting down the days until I can channel my inner Mabel Mora (again).
