Meghan Markle Was Just Spotted in the U.K. for the First Time Since Stepping Down

Meghan Markle is officially back in the U.K.

The Duchess of Sussex touched down in Britain on Thursday, marking the first time the 38-year-old has returned to the country since she and Prince Harry stepped down as senior members of the royal family.

According to The Sun, the duke and duchess had a private lunch at The Goring Hotel in London (they were spotted leaving separately) and are staying at Frogmore Cottage. Markle looked chic in a camel-colored Alex Eagle coat and pearl-studded black heels by Aquazzura.

Both Meghan and Harry are scheduled for a handful of royal engagements for the upcoming days. Today, the couple will make their first joint appearance at the Endeavour Fund Awards, which aims to recognize wounded, injured and sick service personnel and veterans who have gone on to use sport as part of their rehabilitation. And tomorrow, the duke is scheduled to appear at the official opening of the Silverstone Experience, an immersive museum that tells the story of the past, present and future of British motor racing.

On Saturday, both Meghan and Harry will step out to attend the Mountbatten Music Festival at Royal Albert Hall, which marks the 75th anniversary of the end of World War II and the 80th anniversary of the formation of Britain’s Commandos.

Harry returned to his home country last week to carry out an engagement for his Invictus Games Foundation, where he teamed up with Jon Bon Jovi. He also visited Edinburgh to attend a summit for his sustainable tourism project Travalyst.

Unfortunately for us, it looks like baby Archie didn’t make the trip across the pond this time. But we’re looking forward to both Meghan and Harry reuniting with the rest of the royal gang.
