When a friend wants to set you up on a blind date with a real-life prince, you don’t ask questions…unless you’re Meghan Markle.
Markle and her brand-new fiancé, Prince Harry, sat down together at Kensington Palace this morning for their first on-camera interview and spoke candidly about their surprisingly normal first date. The couple was introduced by a mutual friend (the greatest friend ever) in July 2016. But before agreeing to go out with Prince Harry, Markle had one question.
“I didn’t know much about him,” Markle began. “So the only thing I had asked her when she said she wanted to set us up was … ‘Well, is he nice?’ Because if he wasn’t kind, then it just didn’t seem like it would make sense,” she said.
You’re a better woman than us, Meghan Markle. We would have just gone for it, no questions asked.
