Pippa Middleton's upcoming wedding to James Matthews has caused quite the stir, and it's not just because she’s enlisted the cutest bridesmaid ever to be part of her bridal party. The wedding has become the official barometer of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's relationship, and with mere weeks until the May 20 vows, we can't wait to see what will happen.
The wedding conundrum goes deeper than whether Pippa feels Prince Harry and Markle's relationship is serious enough to merit an official plus one; strict royal rule states that Markle may not attend the Middleton/Matthews wedding ceremony at St. Mark’s Church unless she and Harry are married or engaged. Markle is, however, permitted to attend the wedding reception later that evening.
Under any other circumstances, we'd say these rules are a major bummer for Markle, but the girl is ready for that royal treatment. As of late, Markle shut down her lifestyle website, The Tig, and amicably ended her brand partnership with Canadian clothing brand Reitmans.
So the question remains, will Prince Harry propose to Markle before his sister-in-law’s wedding or will he refrain from stealing Pippa’s thunder and attend the ceremony (boring) portion stag?
