Meghan Markle Just Struck a Major New Media Deal—and Released a Rare Personal Statement

For those of you who loved listening to Megan Markle’s Spotify podcast series, Archetypes, then you might be excited to hear that the Duchess of Sussex has just signed a huge deal with an American-based podcast network called Lemonada Media and she’s currently working on a brand-new podcast series. 

Per an exclusive report by Deadline, Markle’s new podcast series and the first season of Archetypes will be available to listen to on all of Lemonada Media’s platforms. Right now, we don’t know the name of the upcoming series or what it will be about. But we do know that the Suits alum will serve as host—just like on Archetypes. 

Markle shared how excited she is to partner with Lemonada Media on her new project. The 42-year-old duchess told the outlet, “I’m proud to now be able to share that I am joining the brilliant team at Lemonada to continue my love of podcasting.”

She continued, “Being able to support a female-founded company with a roster of thought-provoking and highly entertaining podcasts is a fantastic way to kick off 2024. Our plan to re-release Archetypes so that more people can now have access to it, as well as launching a dynamic new podcast are well in the works. I’m so eager to be able to share it soon, and am overjoyed to be joining the Lemonada family.”

This new deal with Lemonada comes after Markle and her husband, Prince Harry, 39, ended their partnership with Spotify back in 2023. (FYI, the royal couple parted ways with the listening platform after Archetypes was canceled.) 

Archetypes, which debuted on Spotify in August 2022, explored the labels and stereotypes put on women in everyday life. Through in-depth interviews and conversations, Markle sat down with celebrity guests like Mindy Kaling, Serena Williams, Paris Hilton, Constance Wu and more.
