Um, You Can Win a Free Home Consult with Marie Kondo!

If Marie Kondo sparks joy in your life, you’ve come to the right place.

The 34-year-old organizer is teaming up with Netflix for a brand-new contest, called #GotJoy. The prize is none other than a one-on-one consultation with Kondo, so listen carefully, people.  

To enter the contest, all you need to do is take a photo of something in your home that brings you joy. This could be an organized drawer, a piece of furniture or a fiddle-leaf tree that you are miraculously keeping alive.

Next, post the picture on Instagram or Twitter and explain why this item sparks joy for you. If you use the hashtag #GotJoy, you’ll automatically be entered into the contest. Easy-peasy, right?

The winner will receive a free visit and consultation from Kondo. All entries must be shared on social media by 11:59 p.m. PT on Friday, February 1, in order to qualify. Finalists will be selected on Monday, February 4, followed by the winner on Monday, February 11.

We first learned about Kondo back in 2014 when she released her New York Times best-selling book, The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up: The Japanese Art of Decluttering and Organizing. Netflix later turned the novel into a reality series, Tidying Up with Marie Kondo, which features the organizer helping people declutter their homes.
