Praise Be: Margaret Atwood Is Writing a Sequel to ‘The Handmaid's Tale'

Almost 34 years after its publication, Margaret Atwood’s dystopian novel The Handmaid’s Tale is as popular as ever. And now, on the heels of an uber-successful TV adaptation, Atwood announced on Twitter that the book is getting a sequel.

She wrote, “Yes indeed to those who asked: I’m writing a sequel to The #HandmaidsTale#TheTestaments is set 15 years after Offred’s final scene and is narrated by three female characters. It will be published in Sept 2019.”

Additional details are scarce at this point, but as soon as we hear anything else, you’ll be the first to know.
