PSA: Madonna’s Daughter Released a New Song (Just Like Kelly Ripa's Daughter)

Madonna’s daughter, Lourdes “Lola” Leon, has something in common with Kelly Ripa’s daughter, Lola Consuelos, and we’re not just talking about their names.

This week, Leon dropped her debut single, titled “Lock&Key,” along with an accompanying music video. (FYI, she released the track under her stage name: Lolahol.)

The song features a feel-good beat, including lyrics like “keep a photo of you in my locket” and “whisk me away.” The music video (directed by Eartheater) shows Leon singing, dancing and strutting around New York. She also incorporates some Ariana Grande-inspired close-up shots (wind-blown hair included).

Leon celebrated the song’s release on her personal Instagram account, where she shared a slideshow of photos thanking her team.

Her mom, Madonna, also posted a screenshot on her Instagram Story and wrote, “I am so proud of you Lola!”

Leon isn’t the only celebrity child who’s following in her famous mom’s footsteps. Earlier this month, Lola (Ripa’s daughter) released her very first single, titled “Paranoia Silverlining.” The talk show host and her husband, Mark Consuelos, could hardly contain their excitement.

The day before it premiered on Spotify, Ripa shared a video of the proud parents sunbathing at the beach and teased a snippet of the song.

She wrote, "Casually waiting for the arrival of @theyoungestyung first single PARANOIA SILVERLINING, drops tomorrow across all platforms! #newmusic #tiktok: Lolagcon.”

BRB, adding “Lock&Key” (and “Paranoia Silverlining”) to our playlist.
