Those genes are strong

As the world gears up for Freakier Friday, the sequel to the 2003 family comedy Freaky Friday, it’s hard not to reflect on just how much has changed for Lindsay Lohan since the original film hit theaters. For starters, the former teen star is now married to financier Bader Shammas and the couple welcomed their first child, a son named Luai, in July 2023.

Though Lohan has mostly kept her little one out of the spotlight, fans usually get photos of the back of Laui's head. But a recent one gives gives fans a better glimpse of the toddler's face and can we talk about how much he seems to be taking after his father?

Lohan and Shammas are both wearing dark sunglasses in the sweet snap, smiling while Lindsay holds their son. And though we can’t see Luai’s full face, his dark hair and side profile are giving major Bader vibes. (No red or blonde curls here—Shammas genes are clearly holding their ground.)

But while Luai might be a mini version of his dad in looks, he’s definitely picked up some of his mom’s flair too.

In a recent interview with People, Lohan shared an adorable update about life with her toddler. “Right now he's just running everywhere, and I need to get that under control,” she said. But the best part? “He loves dance time in the morning. That’s a big thing.”

If you’re getting flashbacks to that iconic viral dance moment at Lohan Beach House in Mykonos, you’re not alone. Back in 2018, Lohan lit up the internet with her impromptu (and delightfully chaotic) moves to Zayn Malik’s “Pillowtalk.” There was hair flipping, finger snapping confident knee lifts, you know, the whole vibe.

So while Luai may be skipping the spotlight for now, it’s safe to say he’s got a little bit of Lohan sparkle in him already.
