Chris Harrison is opening up about our newest guilty pleasure, The Bachelor Presents: Listen to Your Heart, which was inspired by a familiar on-screen duo: Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga.
That’s right, the Bachelor Nation host, 48, recently confirmed that ABC’s latest spin-off was low-key modeled after the pair’s duet from A Star Is Born. Harrison discussed the inspiration in an interview with Us Weekly and revealed that the idea originated after Cooper and Gaga performed “Shallow” at the 2019 Academy Awards.
“My goal is to get Gaga on Listen to Your Heart. I mean, this is a match made in heaven. And really, she was the inspiration for this show. I mean, A Star Is Born, Gaga, Bradley Cooper that moment at the Oscars, when I thought they were just going to have sex on stage,” he said. “Could we create that kind of chemistry? Could we do that with The Bachelor?”
The Bachelor Presents: Listen to Your Heart follows 20 single contestants as they battle it out in a singing competition, all while trying to find love with their duet partner. According to Harrison, the show features a good mix of personalities.
