ABC Just Announced a Brand-New ‘Bachelor’ Spin-off & It’s All About Music

A new Bachelor spin-off is coming to TV and we couldn’t be more excited.

ABC is reportedly prepping the next installment in the Bachelor Nation family, The Bachelor: Listen to Your Heart, and it’s set to make its grand TV debut in April.

The series combines the ideas behind music competition shows like The Voice with the looking-for-love hook of The Bachelor to create something entirely different and, at the moment, hard to picture.

In The Bachelor: Listen to Your Heart, 20 single men and women will endeavor to find love through music. They’ll sing well-known songs, both as couples and by themselves, for judges. And when they’re not singing, they’ll be exploring potential romantic relationships with each other while living together and going on music-focused dates. Once pairs couple up (like on Bachelor in Paradise), they’ll participate in musical challenges and give live performances in front of big names in the music business. But there’s a catch. They won’t just be judged on their musical finesse, they’ll also be evaluated on whether their song choice and performance reveal their love for one another. Those with the highest scores will progress in the competition until one couple wins. Think of it as Bachelor Winter Games but with music instead of hot tubs.

The Bachelor: Listen to Your Heart is the fourth series in the franchise, joining The Bachelor, The Bachelorette and the always messy Bachelor in Paradise. With the new installment, Bachelor fans will now be able to get their fix from January to September. That’s practically all year. What a blessing.

The question remains: Will Chris Harrison host? As long as it isn’t Jed Wyatt and his guitar…

We can’t wait to tune-in to see what drama awaits when The Bachelor: Listen to Your Heart airs on Monday, April 13, on ABC at 8 p.m. PT/ET.
