While Kate Middleton is still recovering from her previously unannounced abdominal surgery at a private clinic in London, the Princess of Wales received a surprise visit from her father-in-law, King Charles.
Earlier this morning, Buckingham Palace announced in a statement that the 75-year-old monarch has been admitted into the same London hospital where Princess Catherine, 42, is currently recuperating after undergoing surgery. According to People and Hello, it appears the king checked in on his daughter-in-law before receiving treatment of his own for his enlarged prostate, a diagnosis which the palace revealed last week.
In a newly released statement, Buckingham Palace shared, “The King was admitted to a London hospital this morning for scheduled treatment. His Majesty would like to thank all those who have sent their good wishes over the past week and is delighted to learn that his diagnosis is having a positive impact on public health awareness.”
