Their relationship is rock solid

King Charles and Queen Camilla have been going strong for 20 years, and considering what I've observed from their body language, I can see why. Last year, Buckingham Palace released a striking portrait of the couple standing in very close proximity with wide, genuine smiles—a strong indicator that they enjoy each other's company. And during their recent tour of Italy, the pair was totally in sync as they explored key landmarks. Now, as a I take a closer look at the palace's recap of their adventures in Italy, I can't help but notice another sweet detail.

Shared via Instagram, the fun montage includes highlights from the Food Festival at Piazza del Popolo and their visit to the Colosseum. But it was footage of the latter that caught my eye. In a blink-and-you'll-miss-it moment about halfway into the video, King Charles turns to his wife to communicate something, and she responds with a casual arm gesture.

This brief and intimate moment shows they're genuinely comfortable and at ease, which explains why they can communicate so effectively in such a public setting. The interaction also demonstrates how much they value each other's presence, given how easily they were able to tune distractions out and focus on one another.

These signs reveal that the king and queen's marriage is still rock-solid, and body language expert Darren Stanton would agree.

As the couple kicked off their Easter celebrations in Scotland this past weekend, Stanton observed that they looked "genuinely happy," noting that "they are each other's rock."

Speaking on behalf of Betfair Casino, Stanton added, "You can see just complete happiness and joy painted across their faces. They are happy to be together, happy to be in Scotland for Easter and clearly thoroughly enjoyed their trip to Italy. Camilla’s face, especially, was showing an incredibly genuine and engaged smile in all the photographs of them arriving at the church. You could see strong smile lines and crows feet, there was also a real twinkle in their eyes; all signs of real happiness."

Always a treat to see these two lovebirds in such high spirits.
