Kerry Washington just shared a rare throwback photo from her teen years, and the father-daughter moment with her dad, Earl, is super sweet.
Earlier this week, the Little Fires Everywhere star, 44, posted a never-before-seen picture on her personal Instagram account, featuring the duo standing in a prom-like pose.
In the photo, Washington is wearing a simple white dress and a silver necklace, and her hair is styled in shoulder-length braids. Her dad is seen wearing a classic suit and tie.
She captioned the post, “Giving you all the gift of this throwback on my Dad’s birthday. You’re welcome. Happy Birthday Dad!!!! Thank you for being a constant source of joy and laughter in all of our lives! Love you sooooooooo much!”
Washington also encouraged her followers to send birthday wishes, adding, “If you have a birthday message or a #DadJoke for Earl in honor of his birthday, drop it below, and I’ll read him some. He LOVES to hear from all of his fans.”
The caption prompted several fans to chime in.
