Kelly Ripa Had the Best Response to Critic Who Called Out Her ‘Lack of Personal Grooming’

Remember yesterday when we reported (jokingly, of course) on Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest’s odd way of brushing their teeth? Well, it turns out one online critic had other issues with the Live with Kelly and Ryan co-hosts, and it had to do with their grooming for the show.

ICYMI: On Monday, the 49-year-old actress shared the latest promo for the upcoming season of the morning talk show. The video mashup includes footage of both Ripa and her co-host, Ryan Seacrest, waking up in the morning and getting ready to head to work.

After one follower watched the video, they commented on the post pointing out the co-hosts’ “lack of personal grooming” since the series began filming remotely. “The only issue I have with this show (and I watch daily since I am at home nowadays) is the lack of personal grooming,” the user wrote. “I mean it’s a nationally televised show. And I have to get dressed for every Zoom work call so why can’t you guys.”

And it didn’t take long for Ripa to respond, writing, “We are dressed. FCC rules, not mine. I'll bring it up at the next meeting.”

This definitely isn’t the first time the Riverdale star addressed concerns regarding her at-home television appearance. “First of all, let me just say, to people commenting about our appearance, 'How dare you and you’re lucky that we actually put clothes on. It’s harder than you think to roll out of bed and come to a TV show,’” she said in a statement after receiving criticism in May.

Way to go, Kelly. Don’t let the online trolls get to you.
