Kelly Ripa Is Missing from ‘Live’ Today—and We Think We Know Why

Ryan Seacrest has a new co-host by his side on today’s episode of Live with Kelly and Ryan. So, where the heck is Kelly Ripa?

On Thursday’s episode of the popular morning show, we were surprised to see that the 50-year-old TV personality was absent from the show’s set and, instead, had Tamron Hall sitting in for her as a guest host. Not only did Hall take Ripa’s place alongside Seacrest but she even appeared in the daily behind-the-scenes video clip shared by producers on the Live Instagram account.

In the video, we see the 45-year old American Idol alum and Hall walk together from their dressing rooms and make their way towards the stage. We even get a glimpse of Hall’s warm-up dance before she takes her seat.

And while we (as well as the rest of the viewers) were pleasantly surprised to see the host of the Tamron Hall Show on our small screens, we had one question: Why is Ripa MIA? Well, we’re not exactly sure.

However, it's very possible that the All My Children alum is taking some quality time to spend with her husband, Mark Consuelos, who has been in Vancouver the last few months filming for the CW's Riverdale. Due to the pandemic, Consuelos hasn't been able to return home to see his family, but from the looks of his Instagram, he'll be reuniting with them pretty soon (if he hasn’t already).

However, we’re just speculating here. It’s possible she’s absent from today’s show for a totally different reason (A doctor's appointment? Personal day? Feeling under the weather?).

Whatever the reason may be, we’re sure she’ll clear things up when she returns.
