It’s no secret that Kelly Ripa’s fashion on Live with Kelly and Ryan is impeccable. However, her latest outfit was so chic that it warranted not one, but two rounds of applause.
Earlier today, producers shared a candid video on the talk show’s official Instagram account, featuring Ripa just moments before the cameras started rolling.
In the clip, Ripa is heading to set alongside her co-host, Ryan Seacrest, who is gushing about the actress’s flashy blouse.
“It’s not just the top, it’s the collar of the top,” Seacrest says. To which Ripa responds, “Believe it or not, it was on sale.”
When Ripa arrives on set, she’s welcomed by a round of applause (per usual). After it dies down, Seacrest motions for Ripa to take center stage, where she shows off the blouse while receiving another standing ovation.
According to the caption, Ripa is wearing a stunning top by Batsheva, which features puffy sleeves and a statement collar. She paired it with a grey skirt by Roland Mouret, which fits her like a glove. Ripa completed the look with a pair of black pumps and styled her hair in her signature waves (natch).
In another video, Ripa discusses the origin of the top and reveals that she was supposed to wear it on Halloween, but the weather didn’t cooperate. “I was supposed to actually wear this for Halloween, believe it or not, when I purchased this,” she says. “But it was—if you recall—about 85 degrees that week, and this seemed a little heavy.”
