Kelly Clarkson Just Announced a New Christmas Album & She Already Released One of the Songs

Fall may have just begun, but Kelly Clarkson is already looking forward to the winter holidays.

The American Idol alum just announced that she will be releasing a Christmas album this year. To celebrate the exciting news, she debuted one of the songs, titled “Christmas Isn't Canceled (Just You).” The cheeky track can be heard in a post from Clarkson, where she also explained the album's title, When Christmas Comes Around...

The singer said, “My purpose for choosing this lyric as the title of this project was to bring forth a sense of reality to the fact that we are probably in very different places emotionally When Christmas Comes Around... Some of us are consumed with a new love, some of us reminded of loss, some filled with optimism for the coming new year, others elated for some much deserved time away from the chaos our work lives can sometimes bring us.”

But Clarkson ended by saying, “Wherever you are, and whatever you may be experiencing, I wanted everyone to be able to connect to a message on this album. Each year you may even have a new favorite depending on where you are in your life, but while change can be unpredictable, there is no better time of year, in my opinion, to breathe hope into one’s life and let possibility wander. You can pre-order it now before it's out everywhere on October 15th. Link in bio.”

Along with the announcement, the talk show host provided the 15-song tracklist, which includes collaborations with her fellow Voice coach, Ariana Grande, as well as stars like Chris Stapleton and Brett Eldredge. The whole tracklist can be seen in the post Clarkson shared below.

We can't wait to blast this album all winter long.
