It appears our holiday playlist is getting an upgrade from last year, because the Backstreet Boys are developing an all-new Christmas album.
It all started yesterday when the boy band—Kevin Richardson, Nick Carter, Howie Dorough, A.J. McLean and Brian Littrell—attended an event in honor of the Grammy Museum’s brand-new Backstreet Boys exhibit in Los Angeles. While there, Richardson announced they’re releasing their first-ever holiday album. *Drops mistletoe*
They previously gave us a taste with “It’s Christmas” in 1996 and “It’s Christmas Time Again” in 2012.
“We’ve done a song or two, but we have never done a Christmas album,” Richardson said, according to Entertainment Tonight. “We’re going to be doing a full-length Christmas album, some classics and some originals. We are working on that while on the ‘DNA World Tour.’”
