Kate Middleton Is an Aunt (Again)

Huge congrats are in order because Kate Middleton’s younger brother, James Middleton, is now a dad!

James, 36, and his wife, Alizee Thevenet, 33, just welcomed their first child this month. The Daily Mail first confirmed the news on Thursday, October 26. 

In a series of photos shared by the outlet, James is pushing their newborn baby (face fully concealed) in a stroller while the couple walks the streets of London. The outlet also shared that the pair have chosen to keep the gender and name of the baby private.

At 41, Kate is the oldest of her siblings (James is 36 and Pippa is 40). The Princess of Wales first became an aunt in October 2018 when her youngest sister Pippa welcomed a baby boy named Arthur.

Fast forward to the present, Pippa and her husband James Matthews share a son and two daughters, Grace and Rose. And now, Princess Catherine is an aunt once again.

Kate’s brother announced the pregnancy back in July. On Instagram, James posted two photos of his wife hugging her baby bump and petting their beloved dog.

“We couldn’t be more excited…well Mable might be,” he wrote in the caption. “It was a very difficult start to the year after losing my beloved Ella, however, we will end the year with the most precious little addition to our growing family.”

In case you didn’t know, the couple met because of Ella, their dog who passed away earlier this year. In a letter written for The Telegraph in 2021, James shared the story behind their meet cute. “The two of us were at the South Kensington Club in Chelsea,” he wrote.

He continued, “Ella was lying at my feet under the table; realizing she might want some water, I trusted her to take herself to the water bowl across the terrace. However, she made a beeline for Alizee. Rather embarrassed, I went over to apologize and bring Ella back.”
