Kate Middleton’s Signature Hairstyle Is Back (and It’s So Effortlessly Regal)

They should call it 'The Kate'

When it comes to Kate Middleton, many things can be true at once—she’s graceful, poised and always serving a look. From her classic fashion choices to her effortlessly polished accessories, every detail feels intentional. But one thing I personally can’t stop noticing? Her hair.

Kate’s hairstyles are consistently as chic as her outfits. Sometimes she leans into a voluminous blowout with those with those iconic bouncy curls. Other times, it’s an elegant updo that looks like it came straight out of a royal style guide. But on her latest outing, she leaned into her classic look—and, of course, looked as stunning as ever.

The Princess of Wales stepped out for a visit to the V&A East Storehouse, a new creative and cultural space in East London. While the event was all about celebrating art, design and craftsmanship, my eyes were drawn to Princess Catherine's hair. She wore it in a soft, off-center part with loose, subtle curls at the ends. It was classic, understated and perfectly complemented her tailored navy Alexander McQueen suit. She finished the look with a bold Laura Lombardi chain necklace and navy-and-white earrings that tied everything together.

If the hairstyle looks familiar, that’s because it is. She’s been rocking this relaxed-yet-regal wave a lot lately. In April, during a visit to Scotland with Prince William, she wore a nearly identical look throughout the trip. Back in March at the Six Nations rugby match in Cardiff, her signature curls were in full effect—long, voluminous and photo-ready.

Before that, she leaned more into structured updos. At the 2025 Irish Guards St. Patrick’s Day Parade, she wore a twisted chignon tucked beneath a green beret, which was just as polished as you’d expect.

Whether it’s soft waves or a sculpted updo, Princess Catherine keeps the beauty inspiration coming.
