In honor of a major anniversary
The caption described the impact that Shaping Us has had on early childhood development. “Our campaign highlights the unique importance of early childhood,” it read. “From pregnancy to the age of five, our brains develop faster than at any other time in our lives. Our experiences, surroundings, and relationships at that very young age, shape the adults we become and the society we create together.”
It continued, “It has been lovely to take a moment to look back over the past 12 months and we want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has been involved so far: the amazing organisations who have hosted visits, our Champions who have helped us spread the word, our Advisory Group for their ongoing and invaluable support, and every single person and company who have supported in along the way.”
Princess Catherine launched Shaping Us back in January 2023. The purpose was to raise awareness about the impact that early childhood has on lifelong brain development.
The anniversary comes a few days after the Princess of Wales, 42, was released from the hospital following abdominal surgery. Kensington Palace previously issued a statement confirming that Princess Catherine had returned home and was “making good progress.”
To celebrate her discharge from The London Clinic, the royal family shared a slideshow of throwback photos featuring the duchess, Prince William and their oldest son, Prince George, 10.
Quite the milestone.
