In honor of the queen’s 96th birthday, Kate Middleton and Prince William decided to enter their photo archive and post a heartwarming tribute on social media.
Earlier today, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge posted a photo slideshow to celebrate Queen Elizabeth’s special day. The first photo features the royal couple conversing with the queen while surrounded by tree trunks (with some beautifully crafted wooden sculptures). But, it was the second pic that really got us excited.
In the throwback photo which was taken at Balmoral Castle in 2018, the monarch is surrounded by her great-grandchildren, including Prince George (8), Princess Charlotte (6), and Prince Louis (3). Also pictured are 4 of her other great-grandchildren, Isla, Savannah, Mia and Lena. Oh, and in case you didn't know, the shot was taken by none other than Kate Middleton.
Her Majesty decided to go with a casual look for the photograph, sporting a yellow button-down shirt with a navy blue cardigan and a checkered skirt. She sits next to her late husband, Prince Philip.
