We Have All the Details on Kate Middleton’s Latest Little Black Dress from Eponine

No one pays attention to detail quite like Kate Middleton.

On Tuesday, Middleton and Prince William attended a special performance of Dear Evan Hansen at the Noël Coward Theatre in London. For the occasion, the duchess opted to wear an Eponine dress and a pair of Romy Glitter Degrade Jimmy Choo pumps. She topped off her ensemble with an equally glittery clutch and a pair of Queen Elizabeth’s diamond chandelier earrings.

According to People, there’s more to this LBD than meets the eye. While the 1950s-style bouclé frock featured a pleated skirt and sparkly buttons from the vintage-inspired British couture label, it also included a hidden floral lining and a discreet button swap (the original buttons were crown motifs).

“The inside of that dress is just spectacular,” said founder and creative director of the brand, Jet Shenkman. “I think a dress needs to be as luxurious inside as it is on the outside—and hers featured a lovely cow parsley print, just in bloom.”

Shenkman also hinted that the duchess took part in the design process on the piece. Although, she still remained tight-lipped about what exactly that meant.

“I would rather remain discreet about the specifics, but I can say that she is incredibly nice, very warm and very kind, really just how she comes across in public,” she continued.

Now if only we have more details on the duchess’s involvement.
