Kate Middleton & Prince William Just Revealed Plans for Their Next Date Night

Looks like Kate Middleton and Prince William are headed to the theater! The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have a very exciting date night planned for next week.

On Tuesday, February 25, the couple will attend a special performance of Dear Evan Hansen at the Noël Coward Theatre in London and will meet members of the cast afterward. Oh and it’s for a good cause—the performance of the Tony Award-winning musical, which opened on London’s West End last year, will benefit The Royal Foundation.

Kensington Palace announced the joint engagement in an official statement on Twitter Thursday, stating: “Mental health is a key priority for The Royal Foundation, which has developed initiatives such as @giveusashout and @heads_together.”

If you didn’t know, Dear Evan Hansen is about a boy with social anxiety and depression navigating his complicated teenage life. It has been credited with helping teenagers speak about mental health and it even touches on the topic of suicide. The duke and duchess have been very vocal about the importance of mental health, so it’s no surprise they are showing their support.

The couple has currently been enjoying time off from royal duties this week and spending time with their three children—George, Charlotte and Louis—who are on a half-term break from school. And while we’re sure Charlotte has been entertaining the duo with a little theater of her own, we’re excited to see Kate and Will step out for a well-deserved date night (even if it is royal duty-related).

Dinner (maybe) and a show? Count us in.
