Today, Princess Catherine is celebrating her 41st birthday. In celebration of her special day, King Charles and Queen Consort Camillia dedicated a touching birthday tribute to the princess on the royal family’s Instagram account. In a new IG Story post, the royal couple shared a photo of Catherine taken during her first trip to Wales under her new royal title.
In the photo, she is accepting a beautiful bouquet from a little girl dressed in a Welsh costume. Paired with the snap was a touching message to the princess, which read, “Wishing the Princess of Wales a very happy birthday today,” with a cake emoji.

The bells at Westminster Abbey—the royal church where Catherine and Prince William got married in 2011—rang earlier today in honor of the princess’s birthday. The entire event was captured on video and later posted to the Abbey’s Twitter page. “The Abbey bells are ringing to celebrate the birthday of the Princess of Wales [red ballon emoji] #HappyBirthdayHRH,” the caption read.
Princess Catherine and the rest of the Wales family are quietly celebrating her birthday on the eve of her brother-in-law, Prince Harry’s, memoir release. The Duke of Sussex’s new tell-all book, Spare, is set to hit bookstore shelves everywhere tomorrow, where he’ll candidly expose untold stories about the royal family.
