Kate Hudson is a girl who loves her brother.

That much was clear on Monday, when she posted a sweet tribute to her brother for his 49th birthday. Sharing rare photos together, Hudson posted a celebratory message that said, “Happy 49th to my brother — the poet laureate of inappropriate jokes, the crown prince of chaos, and somehow also the most devoted dad and fiercely loyal friend. As a kid, he was basically my tormentor-in-chief (think 'worst brother alive' levels), but somewhere between stolen toys and stolen girlfriends, he transformed into my best friend, my ride-or-die, and my favorite person to laugh until it hurts with.”

She continued, “So here’s to you — equal parts menace and legend, a man who has aged like whiskey: strong, fiery, and occasionally makes bad decisions but always worth it. And let’s be honest — I didn’t have the time or emotional bandwidth to reflect on all this, so thank God for ChatGPT, who basically wrote what I would have said if I had the patience. Cheers to you, Ollie.”

The actress also had some famous people visit the comments, like Reese Witherspoon, for example, who wrote, “Big brothers are the best!!” Other comments included, “Happy Birthday, Ollie!” from singer Rita Ora. Hudson is no stranger to sharing her love for her family.

The actress has frequently shared pictures of her children, Ryder, Bingham and Rani. On a recent episode of "Not Gonna Lie with Kylie Kelce, " she even shared some helpful motherhood advice, saying, "[The] thing I would say to all moms is let your kids go. Let them [expletive] go. Don't hold on. Don't expect anything of them. She continued, "The expectation of, 'Oh, you need to be here for me'...when they start getting older, it's like, no. You'll never hold onto them. And the second you hold on too tight, it's going to drive them nuts. They're going to run. I really think that."

Speaking of her son Ryder, she continued, “Ryder's 21, and I was a young mom with him, so we kind of grew up together. And he's so clued in, and there just was a moment about a year and a half ago, and he was like, 'You alright?' And then he shared his perspective on something in my life based around just my schedule.”

Great advice, Kate!
