Talk about a big bang! Kaley Cuoco, 37, just announced that she and her boyfriend, Tom Pelphrey, 40, have welcomed their first child, a baby girl named Matilda Carmine Richie.
The Big Bang Theory actress shared the exciting news on Instagram, with a slideshow of photos that were taken from the hospital. In her caption, Cuoco revealed that baby Matilda arrived on Thursday, March 30. “Introducing, Matilda Carmine Richie Pelphrey, the new light of our lives!” Cuoco wrote.
The Flight Attendant actress gushed: “We are overjoyed and grateful for this little miracle. Thank you to the doctors, nurses, family and friends who have helped us immensely over the last few days. We are blessed beyond belief [heart emoji] @tommypelphrey didn’t think I could fall even more in love with you, but I did.”
The comments section was overflowing with congratulatory messages from fellow celebs, including a note from Vanderpump Rules alum Stassi Schroeder Clark, who wrote: “Ahhhhhhhh baby Matilda!!!!! She is precious!!! Congratulations!!!!!!” Other stars sent their congrats too, like This Is Us actress Chrissy Metz and Dancing with the Stars alum Julianne Hough.
Pelphrey shared his own post to Instagram, where he wrote, “My heart is full of love and gratitude for this miracle….Eternally grateful for the strength and bravery of my soulmate and best friend @kaleycuoco. You are incredible.”
This is the first child for Cuoco and Pelphrey, who began dating in 2022 and made their first public appearance at the Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony for producer Greg Berlanti that same year.
We first learned that the pair were expecting a child together when Cuoco shared the news to Instagram in October 2022. The Emmy-nominated actress posted a slideshow of photos featuring herself and Pelphrey holding baby clothes and the caption read: “Baby girl Pelphrey coming 2023...beyond blessed and over the moon… I [love] you @tommypelphrey!!!”
