Julia Roberts Just Recreated a Major ‘Pretty Woman’ Moment at a Los Angeles Polo Match

Julia Roberts just paid tribute to one of her most iconic characters.

This past weekend, the 51-year-old Oscar winner channeled her Pretty Woman character, Vivian Ward, almost 30 years after the film’s release at the tenth annual Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic at Will Rogers State Historic Park in Pacific Palisades, California.

In a spot-on (literally) nod to Vivian, Roberts wore a black-and-white polka-dot Michael Kors jumpsuit with a peplum waist and pleats, which she accessorized with a white belt cinching her waist.

And since no polo ensemble would be complete without a pair of sunnies, Roberts completed the look with Oliver Peoples Mehrie sunglasses, which are currently on sale for $285. She also added delicate drop earrings, white oxford lace-up shoes and black nail polish.

As you may remember, Roberts’s character went to a polo match with Richard Gere’s wealthy businessman character, Edward Lewis, in the film. There, she wore a brown-and-white polka-dot dress with a similarly belted waist and pleated skirt. Coincidence? We think not (and we totally love it).

Roberts, who was just named the face of Calzedonia’s fall 2019/2020 campaign, received an Oscar nomination for her portrayal of Vivian in the romantic comedy. Pretty Woman centered on a prostitute (Vivian) who has a chance encounter with a businessman named Edward Lewis that ultimately leads to an unexpected love story (and a very fun shopping montage, we might add).

The only thing Roberts was missing was Richard Gere on her arm. What a bummer.
