Phew! It turns out that Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez are staying together and we can all heave a big sigh of relief.
According to a joint statement acquired by People, the couple explains, "We are working through some things."

After the couple shared a series of romantic photos in the Dominican Republic late last month, news broke yesterday that J.Lo and A-Rod had canceled their engagement. However, this was (thankfully) contradicted today when a source told People, "They never officially broke up and talked about it but are still together. They hit a rough patch. But were not broken up."
In March of 2019, the couple got engaged in the Bahamas, after dating for two years. However, the coronavirus pandemic delayed their wedding and in January, Lopez told Elle, “We postponed the wedding twice. We had planned what we really, really wanted to do, [but] I don’t know if we’ll be able to re-create that. We canceled it, and since then we haven’t really talked about it. There’s no rush. We want to do it right when we can do it.”
While Lopez has been working in the Dominican Republic, Rodriguez has been living in Miami, which has been difficult for the couple, especially due to COVID restrictions. But, they "want to try to stay together," People reported.
The pair has been spending much of quarantine at home, with their combined family. Lopez has twins (Max David and Emme Maribel) from her marriage with Marc Anthony, while A-Rod has two daughters (Natasha and Ella) from his relationship with Cynthia Scurtis.
