Jennifer Garner, 51, is dusting off her sai and slipping into the role of Elektra after a nearly 20-year break.

On Friday afternoon, The Hollywood Reporter announced that Garner will reprise the role of Elektra in the upcoming Deadpool 3, which is currently in production.

The 13 Going on 30 actress first played the skilled assassin in Daredevil (2003). Then she reprised the role in Elektra (2005). In the Netflix TV series Daredevil, which ran from 2015 to 2018, the role was portrayed by Élodie Yung.

Not only will Garner be returning to a role that she hasn't played since 2005, but she will also be reuniting with star Ryan Reynolds and director Shawn Levy. The trio previously worked together on the Netflix film The Adam Project, where Reynolds plays a futuristic fighter pilot Adam Reed and Garner plays his mother (in flashbacks).

For Deadpool 3, Garner isn't the only one dusting off her Marvel suit. Hugh Jackman will also be reprising the role of Wolverine (AKA James "Logan" Howlett) for the film.

The last time Jackman portrayed the slashing superhero was in the 2017 film Logan, but it was announced this past September that he is joining the cast of Deadpool 3.

Now, we've got our first look at Jackman in the film, which was shared to social media earlier today. In the pic, his character is wearing his classic yellow suit and walking alongside Deadpool.

We don't have any photos of Garner as Elektra just yet, but we couldn't be more excited to see her show off her superhero skills once again.
