Hoda Kotb and Joanna Gaines Are Cooking Up Something Exciting—And Fans Are All In

It’s barely been a month since Hoda Kotb said goodbye to her gig on the Today show, and she’s already back at it. If you thought the legendary talk show host was retiring, think again. In a recent post on social media, Kotb shared a carousel of photos with none other than the queen of home and lifestyle herself, Joanna Gaines.

The lead photo? A sweet shot of the duo hugging, with only Kotb’s face visible, sporting a huge smile as she wraps her arms around Gaines. The other photos in the carousel give a behind-the-scenes look at their time together, showing Kotb and Gaines as they pore over a computer screen, as well as a selfie Kotb took with a group of people.

“Remember I was talking about repotting—gotta take first steps,” Kotb captioned the joint post. “We have something fun cooking! Come along on the great adventure….. Stay tuned! I love @joannagaines.”

Of course, Gaines was just as excited, commenting, “Let’s go!!! So incredibly proud of you @hodakotb.” And it looks like fans are equally thrilled to see what these two are cooking up. The comments were filled with people hyped for what’s next.

This is the first sneak peek into Kotb's new ventures since she left Today on January 10. Kotb had announced her decision to step away back in September 2024, sharing that it was time for a change.
