If there’s one thing we’ve learned during this period of social distancing, its that cooking (or trying to) is one of the things keeping us sane. We’ve also realized that some of our most beloved cookware has taken a beating over the years.
Last week, PureWow Food Editor Katherine Gillen revealed that our old, scratched-up pots and pans could be leeching toxic chemicals into otherwise impeccable dinners. Yuck. So, we decided its time to invest in some new kitchenware.
Lucky for us, Nordstrom Rack just marked down this 12 piece set of non-toxic cookware (that's actually super cute). Not to mention, the set is from our Food Editor’s favorite brand, GreenPan.
“GreenPan is kind of like the OG of non-toxic, nonstick cookware,” said Gillen. “The brand uses a silicon-based coating called Thermolon, which is slippery and scratch resistant and doesn’t run the risk of releasing toxins into your food, even if you accidentally overheat the pan. (Seriously: It can withstand temperatures up to 850°F!) And there’s no shortage of styles to choose from.”
