Gabrielle Union to Host an All-Black Cast Reading of ‘Friends’ Tonight—Here's How to Tune in

Zoom Where It Happens is bringing us yet another all-Black recreation of a '90s TV classic and we are so here for it.

A reimagined Friends special is now in the works, and on Sept. 22 at 6 p.m., EST (aka today), Gabrielle Union will be hosting the Friends table reading, which will feature Uzo Aduba, Sterling K. Brown, Ryan Bathe, Aisha Hinds, Kendrick Sampson and Jeremy Pope.

The star-studded cast will be recreating the episode entitled "The One Where No One’s Ready." If you recall, it's the one where a desperate Ross tries to get the rest of the gang ready for a black-tie event at the museum.

Based on the promotional image, Brown and his wife Bathe will play the iconic Ross and Rachel. Meanwhile, Aduba will be Phoebe, Sampson will be Joey, Pope will be Chandler and Hinds will be Monica.

The event, which will be done in partnership with Zoom, is being directed by Salli Richardson-Whitfield and will support the organization When We All Vote. The official description reads, "This episode is spotlighting and supporting When We All Vote - a national, nonpartisan, nonprofit on a mission to change the culture around voting by bringing together citizens, institutions, brands, and organizations to increase participation in every election." YES to recreating classics for a good cause!

To tune in, make sure to sign up through the event's official page
