This Princess Diana Movie Just Hit Netflix’s Top 10 List—But You Can Only Stream It for 10 More Days

During your nightly Netflix scroll, you might stumble upon the documentary Diana: In Her Own Words, which just claimed the number nine spot on the streaming service’s list of most-watched movies. If you haven’t already given it a try, we highly recommend you do ASAP, because the film’s days are numbered.

According to this list, Diana: In Her Own Words will be leaving Netflix on Tuesday, December 1. Although the documentary premiered back in 2017 in the U.K., it became available on the streaming service shortly after and has been a beloved option for many royal aficionados.

So, what’s it about? Diana: In Her Own Words offers a rare glimpse into Princess Diana’s life. Documenting everything from her divorce to her tragic death, the movie uses never-before-seen archival footage and personal videos to tell the story through Diana’s perspective.

Yes, there have been countless documentaries about the late royal, but all of them featured tales from friends and family members—not Princess Diana. The movie features a unique look at what she was going through, versus how she was perceived by other people.

Diana: In Her Own Words was directed and written by Tom Jennings (Apollo: Missions to the Moon) and David Tillman (History Retold). Jennings also served as an executive producer alongside Hamish Mykura (Challenger Disaster: Lost Tapes) and Simon Young (Smash Lab).

While the doc is leaving Netflix next month, we have some good news: Diana: In Her Own Words is still available to stream on Disney+, so ready thy logins.
