Over the course of GoT’s seven-season run, many fans have noticed that Khaleesi’s hair has grown increasingly intricate.
But while the Mother of Dragons’s evolving ’do can be chalked up to the show’s ace hair-and-makeup team, it really has everything to do with her badass reputation.
Back in season one, Dany told her brother Viserys that he shan’t braid his hair because, according to Dothraki custom, braids symbolize victories, and he, ahem, had zero to claim. Cut to season seven and Khaleesi’s braids are more labyrinthine than The Shining. The girl’s won a lot of battles.
