White Claw Who? Corona Is Launching Spiked Seltzer

Move over, White Claw, Truly, Smirnoff, Bon & Viv's, Golden Road, Henry's, Rita's and...phew, that's quite the crowd.

Corona is officially joining the hard seltzer squad, the beer's parent company, Constellation Brands, announced during their earnings call with investors last week.

Corona's own hard seltzer, due out next spring (just in time for #SummerofSeltzer round two), will come in four flavors: tropical lime, mango, cherry and blackberry lime. (Side note: Couldn't we have gotten a little bit more creative, guys?)

With only 90 calories, 4.5% ABV and zero grams of carbs and sugar, Corona's hard seltzer officially separates itself from the bubbly pack, since none of the biggest players in the spiked seltzer category offer zero carbs and zero sugars (FYI: White Claw contains 100 calories, 5% ABV, 2 grams of sugar and 2 grams of carbs, while Truly has 100 calories, 5% ABV, 1 gram of sugar and 2 grams of carbs, according to Brewbound.)

Sorry, what was that? We couldn't hear you over the sound of all the pop-tops and fizz.
