Céline Dion Will Star in Her First Ever Movie, ‘Text For You’ (& Yes, There Will Be Singing Involved)

Céline Dion may have five Grammy awards under her belt, but it looks like the music legend is now ready to branch out and try something new.

According to Deadline, the Canadian singer will be taking on her first ever acting role in the upcoming romantic drama film, Text For You.

The movie is inspired by the popular 2016 German film, SMS für Dich, as well as Sofie Cramer’s novel of the same name. The story centers on a woman who tries to cope with her fiancé's tragic death by sending romantic messages to his old cell phone number. However, she learns that his number is reassigned to a man who's also dealing with heartbreak. With the help of Dion's stellar vocals and influence (she is perhaps playing herself?), the two characters eventually bond and find the courage to give love another chance.

We don't know about you guys, but this totally reminds us of Dion's iconic "My Heart Will Go On," which is basically synonymous with Jack and Rose's whirlwind romance. And now, we can't help but think that the artist will come through with yet another timeless classic to give us all the feels in this film.

A release date has yet to be revealed for the movie, but so far, we know that Dion will be joining fellow cast members Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Sam Heughan, who play the main characters in Text For You. Jim Strouse is also directing the film, while Basil Iwanyk, Erica Lee and Esther Hornstein are producing.

We'll be patiently awaiting more details!
