Here’s what you need to know… During episode three of The Bachelor Presents: Listen to Your Heart, Chris Harrison shows up out of nowhere and drops a bombshell about the show’s new format: First, the singers must be in a serious relationship to move on to the next phase.
“The next time I see you, I only want to see couples that are serious about taking that next step and moving forward,” Harrison explains.
And we’re finally in the phase where the contestants must now participate in weekly singing competitions. (Think American Idol…but with a Bachelor twist.) The duet performances take place in front of a panel of celebrity judges, who secretly decide each pair’s fate.
Then, Harrison hosts the rose ceremony and hands out flowers, based on the judges’ ruling. (This week’s panel features Kesha and Jason Mraz, along with Bachelorette alums JoJo Fletcher and Jordan Rodgers.)
After way too much dramatic music, Bekah and Danny are sent home without roses, but that doesn’t mean the other couples are set in stone. Right after the elimination, Julia proves she’s never watched reality TV and begins to question whether she made the right choice, saying, “I’m just wondering if Brandon still thinks about me.”
And based on the promo for next week’s installment, we think that Julia is going to team up with Brandon, who isn’t 100 percent confident in his partner, Savannah.
