Bachelor Nation Exclusive: Jordan Rodgers Shares Advice for Peter Weber’s ‘Bachelor’ Contestants

Now that filming is officially underway for Peter Weber’s season of The Bachelor, Jordan Rodgers is sharing advice for the 33 contestants who are vying for the pilot’s rose.

In the midst of his new partnership with CheapTickets, Rodgers sat down for an exclusive interview with PureWow and discussed the upcoming season of the popular dating series. When asked about his personal experience on JoJo Fletcher’s season of The Bachelorette, the 31-year-old sports commentator revealed that it’s all about pacing yourself on the first night.

“[My] first advice is to take it slow on the alcohol on night one,” he said. “Because it is a long, long night, and the drinks are strong.”

Rodgers even spilled a behind-the-scenes secret from Fletcher’s season and admitted that he purposely held onto the same drink the whole night. “That first episode, my drink had no ice in it because it was the same drink almost the entire night, and I kept holding it,” he laughed. “So, I felt like that was a smart move. I didn’t get tipsy, I was aware the whole time, and I was in it.”

Rodgers went on to say that the key to having a successful Bachelor experience is being in the moment.

“Just be yourself, you know what I mean?” he said. “I think there’s a lot of gimmicks in that first night, and you have a lot of pressure and a lot of stress. I think the more you’re natural and the more comfortable you are and the more you’re yourself, I think that ends up cutting through some of the gimmicks sometimes.”

Take note, ladies.
