This Dad Taught His Daughter CPR Using ‘Baby Shark’

Step aside, “Stayin’ Alive” by the Bee Gees. It appears there’s a brand-new, equally catchy CPR song in town: “Baby Shark.”

It all started when Chris Pietroforte, a California-based CPR instructor, shared a video on social media featuring his 2-year-old daughter, Saige, and revealed that she learned the technique thanks to “Baby Shark.”

The clip shows Saige doing breathing techniques and chest compressions on a dummy. “If this beautiful 2-year-old can learn CPR/AED, what’s stopping you?” Pietroforte captioned the post, which has since been shared by Central Valley CPR.

“Baby Shark” isn’t the only song that’s a go-to for CPR. In fact, “Stayin’ Alive” is one of the most famous tracks, since its tempo is the ideal bpm.

According to Pietroforte, who spoke with Inside Edition, “Any song that’s between 100 to 120 bpm, you can do [chest compressions] to.”

As for little Saige, the CPR instructor confirmed that his daughter is using her talents for the better good, adding, “She actually goes to all my classes when I teach, and she demonstrates how to do it.”

Welp, these lyrics will be stuck in our head for ages.
