You know when you’re putting together an outfit and something just clicks? This is the outfit, you think. I have achieved sartorial bliss.
So of course, you plan to wear it. Cool, it’s settled. Next, shoes. Your metallic loafers look amazing with your ’fit. The only problem is, you’ve been a little bit lazy with laundry recently, and your only clean socks hit around midcalf. Ugh.
You could, of course, change your outfit, but why should you ditch an ensemble that makes you feel great just because you couldn't be bothered to spend a few hours schlepping between your apartment and your building’s laundry room, 20 floors away?
Enter the genius hack above from ASOS. In the video, a gal wearing a tall sock and loafers pulls her sock almost all the way off, just leaving her toes covered, then she pulls the excess sock underneath her foot and hooks it onto her heel. The result is kind of like a makeshift no-show sock.
We’re not quite sure how comfortable it would be to have all that extra fabric under our feet, but honestly, in a pinch, we’re totally stealing this trick.
Because nothing should stand between you and wearing something you really want to wear.
