It’s been more than a year since Game of Thrones aired its final episode. And now, Ariel Winter is finally catching on to the Daenerys Targaryen hair trend.
Over the weekend, the Modern Family actress, 22, channeled the GoT character and dyed her red hair platinum blonde. Winter shared a photo of the dramatic makeover on Instagram and even referenced the Queen of Dragons in the caption.
She wrote, “Winter is coming.” The caption not only refers to the HBO show’s tagline, but it’s also a play on her last name. (Clever, indeed.)
Based on the tags, we know the hair transformation was done by Tim and Tabitha Dueñas, who work at Nine Zero One salon in Los Angeles. The actress’s white locks are styled in soft waves, just like Targaryen’s signature look. Dracarys!
It might take some time for fans to get used to Winter’s new look. While she’s a natural brunette, she just recently dyed her hair red. The actress debuted the look back in February 2020 when she attended a special screening of Burden.
Winter is widely known for ABC’s Modern Family, where she played Alex Dunphy for 11 successful seasons. She has also lent her voice to a number of animated projects, including Sofia the First, Mr. Peabody & Sherman, Smurfs: The Lost Village, Jake and the Never Land Pirates, Robot Chicken, Elena of Avalor, Minnie’s Bow-Toons and Phineas and Ferb.
