Anya Taylor-Joy Shares Up-Close Look at Gorgeous Dior Wedding Dress After Revealing Surprise Nuptials

I guess the cat is out of the bag for Anya Taylor-Joy because the 27-year-old actress revealed on Instagram earlier this week that she secretly tied the knot with her now-husband, Malcolm McRae, back in 2022. But, that’s not even the best part—The Queen’s Gambit alum also shared up-close photos of her gorgeous Dior wedding dress.

The first slide of the post shows Taylor-Joy walking down the aisle with a bouquet of flowers in hand. While her face is completely covered by a white veil, the actress’s Instagram followers are given a side view of the custom-made gown. 

Described by Taylor-Joy as being “beautifully embroidered with our love story,” the designer dress is adorned with symbols that hold great meaning to the pair.  

Her followers can see an up-close shot of one of those symbols in the second slide of the post, which features a video of Taylor-Joy dancing in a wedding chapel. The bodice of the dress is in full view, showcasing a hummingbird next to a purple and green flower. 

In the caption, the Dune: Part Two star wrote, “Two years ago, on April Fools, I secretly married my best friend in New Orleans. The magic of that day is ingrained in every cell of my being, forever. Happy second ( first ) anniversary my love…you’re the coolest [heart emoji].”

In honor of their wedding anniversary, McRae shared his own celebratory slideshow on Instagram. While posting never-before-seen photos taken at their secret wedding, he captioned the post, “I love you now and somehow I always have and somehow it will never end. Happy two-year anniversary (yesterday), beautiful. Photos @sebastianfaena.”
