Cue the motherhood references, because PEN15 co-creators slash co-stars, Anna Konkle and Maya Erskine, are both expecting babies IRL. (Yes, you read that right.)
The double pregnancy news broke over the weekend when Konkle announced that she and her beau, Alex Anfanger, are expanding their family.
The actress, 33, shared a slideshow on Instagram, featuring four never-before-seen baby bump photos. It begins with a candid snap of the proud parents-to-be posing in the snow, followed by rare shots of Konkle’s growing belly.
In the caption, she confirmed that she could go into labor at any moment, writing, “It only took me nine months to post but the family is expanding any second now [heart emoji].”
Fans immediately connected the baby announcement to Erskine, who announced her pregnancy back in November 2020. The actress, also 33, posted a photo on Instagram with her fiancé, Michael Angarano (who plays young Nicky Pearson on This Is Us), and confirmed they’re expecting their first child. She wrote, “When 2 becomes 3.”
We don’t know exactly how far along Erskine is, but based on the timing, she’s likely a few weeks behind Konkle (if not closer).
One thing’s for sure: We can’t wait to see how this new life chapter impacts the future of PEN15.
